How do you get paid?

If you don't donate, I don't get paid. How's that for honesty! I have written some books to expand on the topics covered, and they will eventually be available to buy for a modest price. In addition, I will promote some services and products that I use, and I will get a commission if you buy. However, getting paid was not the reason I originally built the blog and the website; it was to help my children learn subjects that will help them during their lives. And now I'm working on it every day, and I love the challenges it throws at me.

Does the information you provide really help?

I wish this information had been available to me when I was younger, as it would have saved me a lot of time, money and heartache.

Understanding how the financial system works, along with relationships and health, would have been invaluable. After all, if you don't have good health or good relationships, you will find it more difficult to make and enjoy money. If you don't understand how the financial system functions, you will probably end up losing money by making mistakes. But it all boils down to having a successful, balanced life, and these three elements are crucial to achieving that.

Why did you build this site?

Many times during my life, I had no one to turn to for advice or help. And I always said that I would write a guidebook to life, something my children could refer to if they needed help. Well, I never had time to write a book as life's challenges took up too much time. And then came retirement and the internet. As my children live in different parts of the world, I started writing a blog whenever they asked me for advice so the other siblings could access the information too; this saved me from repeating myself. My children shared the information with their friends and colleagues. Hence, I decided to go public!

My motivation is to help people and keep my brain active!

How often do you post?

I write most days, with one subject leading into another, and I have to ensure I communicate each subject in a way that isn't too technical so as not to confuse the reader. The idea is to make the content as easy to understand as possible and to encourage further independent investigation by the reader. I am unlikely to make you an expert in the field, but if I can make the reader aware, my goal is achieved.

The subjects can be complicated, so I will write enough to give you sufficient information so that you have a general understanding and then either write another blog or a book, worksheet or guide. Once I have covered the main information I plan to share with you, I will produce a monthly newsletter covering topics that will benefit your journey. So sign up for the newsletter when the portal is available.

What's your definition of success?

The measure of success is very individual; some people measure it by financial means, others by status, and others by achieving an individual goal like losing weight or improving mobility and health. Personally, it's having sufficient funds and time at the right time to look after myself and my family. When my children were young, I valued spending as much time with them as possible, allowing me to help them grow and build a lasting relationship and memories.
